If you’re like me you get sick of politicians, well, being bastards.
Continuously they are denying community outcry against human rights abuses.
But, below you will see some of my favourite photos from 2014 to 2015. They show a consensus of some global citizens about certain human rights issues.
You can click on the photos for links to news items and videos.
I’ve been googling images, but haven’t found who to credit for some photos. If you know who they belong to, please leave a comment.
Hope you enjoy my link salad.
Photos of support for human rights for refugees
Photo of Australians protesting against the closures of Aboriginal camps.
Unsuccessfully looking for the author above photo, I found this video from the twitter feed of @.
While I know that some places can be really bad for kids to grow up in, I don’t think that a blanket solution like closing them is any sort of answer.
Photos of support for LGBTIQ people
It has been really nice over the years to see the lovely signs from the Gosford Anglican Church. This is one of my favourites.
In this next photo, I see desperate, overwhelmed police fighting a losing battle.
Photos in support of our Earth
I watch John Oliver’s ‘Last Week Tonight’ a fair bit. I loved this episode soo much I took a screenshot.
I watched the Four Corners report ‘The end of Coal?’ and discovered this next little beauty. Energy Storage systems from Solaraus. I can’t wait til I can afford to buy one.
In Australia? You can watch ‘The end of Coal?‘ yourself. Spoiler Alert: The banks say ‘yes’.
This below link is one of my favourite news items, maybe ever.
This is when Germany produced 75% of it’s energy through Renewables.
This last photo I’ve had for a while now.
I’ve sent it to Australia’s PM Tony Abbott twice, but somehow I don’t think he’s about to answer.
Speaking of our beloved PM, I get a cackle every now and then from this send up of him by Last Week Tonight.
I hope you liked my link salad.
