I have been posting a series of poems this week. This is a poem about feeling settled and solid where I am.

This poem was written when I co-facilitated a creative writing group. Around that time I wrote this blog post “On Confidence and Feeling Settled”.

Solid

Through actions,

not just memories,

I’m rebuilding.

Coming together

on steady ground.

For ages

trust has been elusive,

ungraspable.

Now

my future feels solid.

My feet steady,

encased in trust.
